Event 3: LASER and De-Colonizing AI

This past Thursday, I attended LASER: De-colonizing Artificial Intelligence which is a continuation of the LASER talks hosted by Stanford University and funded by the institution of Art, Science, and Technology. Today’s discussion was started off with a word from Satinder Gill, where she claims that the meeting was to establish the purpose of machine learning within society to bring about good. Karamjit Gill, furthers the discussion about general concepts of AI and machine learning.
